No Hello

I was able to message someone over Microsoft Teams when his out-of-office (OOF) popped up with the following message.

Please do not say “Hi John” in chat without fully explaining your intent and/or request in the first message you send. Better yet, please strongly consider sending me an email and not an IM. Please read before hitting enter if you have any questions.

Curious enough, I go to  Yeap, I have been guilty of this 100%.  So sharing with anyone else who’s been guilty of this, we don’t have enough time.  So let’s not waste each other’s time :).

PS I am so stealing that for my Teams IM also!
